Part-time Instructor position available in Medical Front Office Operations/HIPAA Regulations and EMR (E.H.R.).

The L.E.E. Medical Office Skills Program as a joint venture between Lee County Department of Human Services and The School District of Lee County has an anticipated opening for a part-time Instructor for Medical Front Office Operations/HIPAA Regulations and Electronic Medical Records. Classes are held from 6:30-9:30p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Two sessions are held each year and the position would be spread throughout the year. In general, the applicant can expect to teach Medical Front Office Operations/HIPAA for 9 three hour classes in February-March each year and a second term in August and September. The Electronic Medical Records portion will consist of 6 three hour classes and be held in April-May for the first session and then October and November for the second session. This is a long-term position with the schedule duplicating each year. Applicants must have Medical Front Office experience, full up to date knowledge of HIPAA regulations and computer skills. Teaching and/or management experience is a plus. Because the L.E.E. Program encompasses professional and life skills, the candidate would be expected to incorporate these into the curriculum. The candidate would become an employee of The School District of Lee County and would be paid hourly based on level of education. Must pass a background check and be fingerprinted.
